HONG KONG: On Thursday 23 March at Écriture, Maxime Gilbert will host a special chef collaboration dinner, pre-cocktail event and an auction to raise funds for the Antoine Alléno Association.
Seven chefs, including Yannick Alleno, the father of Antoine who died tragically at age 24, will cook together in a unique dinner josted by Maxime Gilbert. He is uniting chefs who first worked together in the kitchen of Le Meurice 18 years ago. During this time, the restaurant achieved three Michelin stars under the direction of Yannick Alleno.
For this night only, Yannick Alleno, Maxime Gilbert, Yoric Tieche, Cyril Bonnard, Julien Tongourian, Marie Wucher and Nicholas Beaumann (who together have a total of 24 Michelin stars) will cook together for a good cause.
Chef Yannick Alléno launched the Antoine Alléno charity in 2022 as tribute to his son, Antoine, whose tragic passing at 24 years old sparked his desire to help prevent acts of violence against young people, and to provide support for victims and their families. All proceeds raised from the 23 March charity events will go towards the Antoine Alléno Assocation.
Guest chefs collaborating alongside Chef Maxime Gilbert on the evening will include esteemed names such as Yoric Tieche (Executive Chef of 1 Michelin-starred Le Cap at Four Seasons Hotel Cap-Farrat), Cyril Bonnard (Executive Chef of Le Parc Hotel Obernai), Julien Tongourian (Executive Chef of 3 Michelin-starred L’Atelier Joel Robuchon, Hong Kong), Marie Wucher (Chef Patisserie of Le Parc Hotel Obernai), Nicolas Beaumann (Executive Chef of 2 Michelin-starred Maison Rostang), aas well Yannick Alléno (Executive Chef of 3 Michelin-starred Pavillon Ledoyen, 2 Michelin-starred L’Abysse and 3 Michelin-starred Le 1947).
The 14-hands menu, which will kick off with exquisite starters by Chef Alléno, will be complemented by an exceptional wine pairing featuring the likes of Dom Perignon P2, Moet Vintage, Chateau Yquem, Benoit Ente Puligny-Montrachet, Iwa sake, and more.
The dinner is being held at Ecriture, a contemporary French restaurant opened by Hong Kong hospitality group Le Comptoir in May 2018. It is located on the 26/F of Hong Kong’s cultural hotspot H Queen’s with panoramic views of Central, The Peak and Victoria Harbour, ÉCRITURE has been awarded with two stars by the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2019 – 2022.
